Bringing like-minded professionals together in the state of Maine to discuss information security tactics, techniques, and procedures to protect information systems and data.

The (ISC)2 Maine Chapter is a professional association authorized by the (ISC)2 the World’s Leading Cybersecurity Professional Organization created by (ISC)2 members and information security professionals living and working in Maine.

The (ISC)2 Maine Chapter is dedicated to providing education and regular meetings to help information security professionals in Maine. Although many of our members have an (ISC)² credential, having an (ISC)² credential is not required to become a member of our chapter. If you wish to join the Chapter, please follow us on LinkedIn or on Meetup for the most current updates, news, and discussion.

September Meeting

Planning For a Zero Trust Architecture following the guidance of the NIST 800-207 framework.

The presentation will be brief overview of the NIST 800-207 planning guidance by Dennis Tuttle followed by a presentation by Nuno Sousa (Senior Sales Engineer) at NetSkope to describe how the Netskope ZTNA and SASE (Secure Access Secure Edge) address the requirements of the NIST 800-207 and provide critical tools to enforce consistent security policies across all endpoints from any source network.

We’re hoping for a lively discussion on what organizations are doing to transition from a legacy perimeter based environment to a  "Never Trust, Always Verify" infrastructure.

We’re also planning to discuss resuming biweekly study sessions for the CISSP starting in October.

Pizza and light refreshments will be served.
