Planning For a Zero Trust Architecture following the guidance of the NIST 800-207 framework.

The presentation will be brief overview of the NIST 800-207 planning guidance by Dennis Tuttle followed by a presentation by Nuno Sousa (Senior Sales Engineer) at NetSkope to describe how the Netskope ZTNA and SASE (Secure Access Secure Edge) address the requirements of the NIST 800-207 and provide critical tools to enforce consistent security policies across all endpoints from any source network.


We’re hoping for a lively discussion on what organizations are doing to transition from a legacy perimeter based environment to a  "Never Trust, Always Verify" infrastructure.

Portland's Roux Institute Computer Science Department will be graciously hosting the Maine ISC2 chapter at their Portland Campus. We are grateful and excited to host two excellent speakers. We will be hearing first from Roux's Dr Valcourt who will be discussing network security and an upcoming initiative. We are also excited to hear from our chapters own Elyse who has been a large contributor to cybersecurity in Maine and the region for years. Please join us and get to know the Roux too. This event will be primarily in person but will also have virtual support.

ISC2 is back in session on September 14 at 6 pm! We're excited to announce that this meeting will be hybrid at Tyler Tech in Yarmouth and via Google Meet.

We’ll hear from Technical Solutions Engineer John Kimberly at Tanium. In this role, he assists corporations, governments, and educational institutions mitigate the myriad of challenges surrounding enterprise end-point management, and the challenges around auditing inventory, patching, software licensing/distribution, asset discovery and Threat Response, among others. Food and refreshments will be provided, and Tanium has hinted that they will be bringing some giveaways.

As always, ISC2 Chapter meetings are a great way to meet fellow security professionals, learn new things and earn those continuing education hours.
